Brickmont at Acworth is seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Director to lead and manage all aspects of maintenance, repair, housekeeping, and safety operations within our senior living community. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the physical environment is safe, well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with all applicable regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a genuine commitment to providing a comfortable and secure living environment for our residents.
What You’ll Do

Oversee all building maintenance, repairs, and preventive schedules

Lead and manage both maintenance and housekeeping staff

Ensure high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control

Handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs

Manage work orders, vendor relationships, and service contracts

Stay on top of inspections, compliance, and life-safety standards

Develop staffing schedules and maintain supply inventories
-
Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation
What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of building systems and hands-on maintenance work

Experience supervising teams in maintenance and/or housekeeping

Organized, steady under pressure, and able to set clear priorities

Good communication and follow-through

Comfortable working around seniors and in a regulated environment

HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications are a plus

Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality experience is helpful

Qualifications Include

High School Diploma or GED
-
Five years of facilities maintenance experience and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of safety, building codes and OSHA standards.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

Drivers License with a clean driving record.

Knowledge of senior housing regulations is a plus.

Minimum 5 years experience.
