Maintenance Director

Overview
The Oaks by Windham is an assisted living facility located in Macon, GA seeking a part-time Maintenance Director who will be responsible for assisting with the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the assisted living facility, including resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and grounds. This role supports the Administrator and leadership team by completing routine work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and urgent repairs to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

1. Facility Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and minor appliance fixes.
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders submitted by staff or residents.
• Assist with inspections and safety checks of building systems to ensure proper operation.
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, batteries, filters, and other consumables as needed.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Report identified hazards, equipment issues, or building deterioration.

3. Groundskeeping & Environmental Upkeep

• Assist with landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, leaf control, and minor grounds work.
• Maintain outdoor common spaces, walkways, seating areas, and facility signage.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations for assisted living facilities.
• Ensure maintenance tasks follow OSHA guidelines and facility safety protocols.
• Participate in fire drills, generator testing, and emergency system checks as directed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
