Overview

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be a key contributor to the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive and highly organized individual who can balance multiple responsibilities, pay close attention to detail, and communicate effectively with the team. You’ll oversee maintain client housing and clinical buildings in top condition and respond to maintenance needs with urgency and professionalism. A strong, well-rounded residential handyman skillset is essential, you’ll be relied on to confidently troubleshoot and complete a wide range of repairs and renovations as they arise. From preventative upkeep to emergency repairs, your work will directly support the safety, comfort, and success of our clients and staff.

Schedule Availability

  • General availability of Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, with flexibility to be available in the evening and on weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and complete a wide variety of residential handyman tasks including equipment, appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general home repairs with the ability to handle whatever needs arise.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform minor landscaping and groundskeeping tasks (e.g., lawn care, planting, trimming, mulching, and weeding).
  • Complete painting, finishing, and aesthetic repairs for interior and exterior spaces.
  • Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly, providing clear updates to staff and management.
  • Schedule, track, and maintain records for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, inspections, and projects.
  • Coordinate and execute larger repair projects or facility improvements as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Clean and maintain common areas within residential and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and general maintenance procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of safe, proper use of hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also keeping the team informed and updated.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Knowledge of DHCS requirements and/or The Joint Commission standards is a strong plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Availability for on-call emergencies as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or another relevant field is a plus.
  • OSHA Certification or any similar safety program experience is a plus.
  • Previous Experience communicating and performing maintenance and repair in a patient care environment is a plus.
