Maintenance DSP

Northbridge is looking for a Maintenance DSP – someone who can change a lightbulb and change lives. If you’ve ever wanted to fix a leaky faucet while singing karaoke with someone, this might be your dream job.

This role is a delightful mix of hands-on maintenance and supporting our individual with Intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each season brings new tasks; DSP provides support and assists our individuals while they work. Summertime, the crew handles yard maintenance. Wintertime, the crew handles shoveling and deicing. Other tasks include, home repairs and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Ensure all facilities and equipment are safe, functional, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist individuals with daily maintenance activities, promoting independence and dignity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and maintenance tasks completed.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in maintenance, custodial work, or direct support preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Are patient, kind, and cool with a little unpredictability.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
