Maintenance Electrical Engineer Job Description

Job Purpose

Ø To ensure reliable operation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems used in FMCG manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, safety, and continuous production.

l Key Responsibilities

Ø Maintain and troubleshoot process instruments such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, and weight sensors.

Ø Calibration of field instruments as per calibration schedule and documentation.

Ø Maintain and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and control panels.

Ø Monitor and improve process control systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Ø Attend breakdowns related to instrumentation & automation and ensure minimum downtime.

Ø Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and audit requirements.

Ø Maintain calibration records, SOPs, and preventive maintenance checklists.

Ø Coordinate with production and quality teams during process issues.

Ø Support installation and commissioning of new instruments and control systems.

l Educational Qualification

Ø Diploma / BE / BTech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electronics / Automation

l Experience

Ø 2–6 years experience in FMCG / Food / Pharma / Manufacturing industry

Ø Hands-on experience with PLC-based systems and field instruments

l Skills Required

Ø Instrument calibration & loop checking

Ø PLC & automation basics

Ø Process control knowledge

Ø Preventive & breakdown maintenance

Ø Documentation & audit support

Ø Safety and GMP awareness

l Skills & Competencies

Ø Strong knowledge of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, load cells)

Ø PLC programming & troubleshooting (Siemens / Allen Bradley / Delta / Schneider – basic to intermediate)

Ø HMI & SCADA operation and fault analysis

Ø Control panels, VFDs, sensors, transmitters

Ø Calibration tools and techniques

Ø Loop checking & commissioning

Ø Understanding of PID control and automation logic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
