Overview
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Electrical & PLC Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and mechanical equipment across our production facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial electrical work, automation systems, and mechanical maintenance, with a passion for ensuring optimal equipment performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse systems, including high and low voltage electrical components, sensors, vision inspection systems, and automated machinery.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and control systems using schematics, calibration tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain and update electrical schematics and documentation to ensure accurate system records.
- Conduct calibration of sensors, vision inspection systems, and other automation components to ensure precision operation.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical systems or upgrades in manufacturing equipment, including high voltage and low voltage circuits.
- Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop improvements using E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) knowledge and manufacturing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and industrial electrical codes while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Use tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to measure electrical parameters accurately during troubleshooting.
- Assist with the integration of distributed control systems (DCS), and automation platforms.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician with a solid understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and pneumatic controls is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, calibration procedures, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Experience working with vision inspection systems and sensors used in manufacturing quality control processes.
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical safety standards is essential.
- Background in field service operations within manufacturing environments or military settings is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or clients.
