Job Description
- Perform electrical maintenance on printing presses, packaging machines, conveyor systems, motors, PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including control circuits, power distribution, sensors, and motor controls.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with mechanical maintenance staff and production team to minimize machine downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, including after-hours support if required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in root cause analysis for recurring faults.
Qualifications and Skills:Education and Experience:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Electricity / Electrical Maintenance.
- Valid Electrician license or trade certificate (as required by local regulations).
- 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in printing and/or packaging industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), VFDs, and motor controls.
- Experience with printing presses (e.g., flexo, offset, gravure) and packaging equipment (slitters, die-cutters, wrappers, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with high and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures, risk assessments, and workplace safety practices.
- Competency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
