Maintenance Electrician

Job Title: Electrician (Certificate Holder – B & C License)
Location: Palavakkam, Tamil Nadu
Department: Maintenance / Engineering
Reports To: Plant Manager

Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in the plant. The candidate must hold a valid B or C Grade Electrical License and ensure safe, efficient operation of all electrical installations as per industrial standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure quick resolution to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and test electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and update preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment.
• Assist in setting up and commissioning new machines or electrical panels.
• Ensure proper use of tools, materials, and safety protective equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance work, electrical usage, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
• Follow company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field.
• Certification: Mandatory B or C Grade Electrical License (Tamil Nadu Electrical Licensing Board).
• Experience: 1–3 years in an industrial or manufacturing setup (Freshers with valid license may also apply).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and motor connections.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance procedures.
• Soft Skills:
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
