Maintenance Electrician

• Repairs and troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner.
• Routine and preventive maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, lubricate machinery, and perform tasks like cleaning filters or replacing light bulbs to prevent future problems.
• Facility upkeep: Perform general building maintenance, such as painting, drywall repair, and cleaning.
• Safety and compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Emergency response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests, which may require after-hours work.

Required skills and qualifications

• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. For industrial settings, skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are often needed, along with the ability to read schematics or PLCs.
• Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Manual dexterity: Proficiency in using a variety of tools and performing hands-on tasks.
• Communication: Ability to clearly communicate with coworkers, management, and sometimes residents or tenants.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous in performing tasks to ensure quality and safety.
