Machine Maintenance & Repairs

Execute timely installation, repair, rebuild, and upkeep of printing machinery and electrical equipment to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

Oversee pre-emptive maintenance to maximize production throughput and minimize disruptions.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
-
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failures.
-
Respond swiftly to breakdowns, perform troubleshooting, and restore operations efficiently.

Safety & Compliance
-
Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements to safeguard personnel and equipment.
-
MMS System Utilization
-
Record and track maintenance activities, equipment histories, and inventory of spare parts using the Maintenance Management System.

Team Leadership & Coordination
-
Foster strong working relationships with technicians, operators, management, workshop staff, and external vendors.
-
Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of critical spares and services.
-
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
-
Investigate recurring failures, perform RCA, and recommend engineering or process improvements to prevent future issues.
-
Cost-Saving Initiatives
-
Proactively identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs—through better resource utilization, energy efficiency, or improved workflows—without compromising quality.

Continuous Improvement
-
Participate in Kaizen or similar programs to enhance maintenance processes, streamline operations, and improve reliability.

Training & Documentation
-
Provide training to operators and team members on machine operation, safety best practices, and minor troubleshooting.

Maintain clear maintenance SOPs, checklists, and documentation to support audit-readiness and cross-functional alignment.

Cross-Functional Support
-
Liaise with Production, Prepress, Binding, Finishing, and Warehousing teams to support seamless workflows, especially during peak volumes or targeted job runs.
Technical Skills

PLC & Automation Systems
– Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and automated systems used in modern rotary, web-offset, and digital print machinery.

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
– Understanding pressurized systems, actuators, and relevant troubleshooting techniques.

Predictive Maintenance Tools
– Knowledge of vibration analysis, thermography, and condition-monitoring tools to preempt equipment failure.

Electrical & Mechanical Foundation
– Strong grounding in electrical systems, control panels, wiring, and mechanical assembly fundamentals.

Spare Parts Inventory Management
– Proficiency in managing machine components, procurement lead times, and stock levels.
