Role Summary:

To ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of CNC steel structure machinery through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous productivity improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC cutting, drilling, and welding machines (e.g., plasma, beam lines, saws, and robotic welding stations).
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, troubleshoot faults, and restore equipment to service with minimal downtime.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems in CNC steel structure machines.
• Use technical manuals, drawings, PLC diagnostics, and software tools for problem-solving.

Performance Improvement

• Analyse recurrent faults and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine availability and productivity.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts usage, and machine history.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Coordination

• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal impact on production.
• Coordinate with spare parts suppliers and vendors for technical support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• CMRP Certificate is preferred

Experience:

• 4 years’ hands-on experience in maintaining CNC steel structure fabrication machinery (beam lines, plasma cutting machines, robotic welding, CNC drilling/milling machines, etc.)

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Hypertherm, or equivalent).
• Familiar in CNC Brands (Peddinghaus, Kaltenbach, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Production Process and equipment’s (Welding, Shear, Punching, Drilling, Cutting, Plasma, Laser, Painting, Blasting)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical/Pneumatic/hydraulic drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Strong knowledge in lifting equipment’s(OHC, jib Cranes, Clamps and chains), Compressors(Electrical, Deisel),Motor Pool (Side loaders, Forklift, Scissor lift)

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work in shifts and attend urgent call-outs.
• Fluency in English (technical reading/writing); Arabic is an advantage.
