Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all laundry machinery and utility systems. The role involves regular inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring minimal downtime in production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on washing machines, dryers, hydro extractors, steam irons, boilers, compressors, and other related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Maintain maintenance logs and prepare service/repair reports.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure machinery availability and performance.
• Monitor and maintain utility systems (water, steam, air supply, etc.).
• Ensure all safety protocols and maintenance standards are followed.
• Liaise with equipment vendors for technical support and spare parts procurement.
• Assist in new equipment installation, setup, and commissioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance within a laundry, hotel, or industrial plant environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machines independently.
• Knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
