Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and providing technical support to enhance productivity. This role requires a combination of mechanical and electrical expertise, as well as strong leadership and customer service skills.

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
• Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
• Collaborate with other team members to implement preventive maintenance programmes.
• Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

• Proficient in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding schematics.
• Strong electrical experience coupled with mechanical knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability in maintenance practices across various equipment types.
• Effective leadership skills with experience in supervising teams.
• Excellent customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
