Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities1. Shift Management

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and fitters during the shift.
• Allocate jobs based on priority, skill level, and workload.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within the defined timelines.

2. Machine Maintenance

• Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks for CNC machines (HMC, VMC, VTL, SPMs, Conventional machines).
• Attend and resolve machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine health parameters (spindle load, vibration, coolant system, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Coordinate with production teams for machine shutdown planning.

3. Utilities & Facility Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain compressors, DG sets, chillers, AHUs, ETP/STP, and other utilities.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of power, air, water, and coolant.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain breakdown records, PM checklists, spare parts consumption, and shift reports.
• Ensure SAP/ERP entries for maintenance activities.
• Escalate major issues to the Maintenance Manager with root cause and corrective actions.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety procedures (LOTO, work permits, PPE usage).
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe working practices.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 compliance requirements.

6. Spares & Inventory Control

• Monitor spare parts availability and raise indent for replenishment.
• Manage critical spare stock and ensure proper storage.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Implement Kaizen, 5S, TPM concepts for better efficiency.
• Reduce breakdown frequency and improve MTBF/MTTR targets.
• Support machine capability improvement and energy saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.

Experience

• 4–10 years of experience in machine shop / CNC maintenance.
• Hands-on skills in CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, electrical panels, and PLC basics.

Technical Skills

• CNC machine troubleshooting
• Preventive & predictive maintenance

• Reading mechanical/electrical schematics
• Knowledge of TPM, 5S, Kaizen

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts (Morning / Evening / Night).
• Availability during emergencies or major breakdowns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
