Reporting To: Plant Manager / Operations Manager

Education:

Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.

- Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing / FMCG industry.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team to ensure efficient functioning of machinery, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure within the food manufacturing facility. The role ensures minimum downtime, preventive maintenance implementation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

- Ensure all machinery and equipment remain in optimal working condition with minimum breakdowns.

- Coordinate with production team to prioritize maintenance needs.

- Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and activity reports.

- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of maintenance materials.

- Implement safety standards and ensure all maintenance activities are compliant with GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.

- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or replacements.

- Provide training and technical guidance to maintenance staff.

- Ensure proper functioning of utilities including boiler, compressor, RO plant, electrical systems, and HVAC.

- Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.

- Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing / FMCG industry.

- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.

- Ability to read and understand machine manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

- Good communication and leadership skills.

- Working knowledge of safety standards like GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.

- Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.

Work Environment:

This position is based within a food production facility and requires regular presence on shop-floor and maintenance areas. Work may involve handling tools, machinery, and occasional extended working hours during breakdown situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
