Job Overview

The Maintenance Engineer – Fire & Life Safety will be responsible for carrying out and supporting Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and rectification works for fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence (ADCD) regulations. The role involves hands-on technical work, coordination with clients and authorities, documentation support, and emergency response activities across assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities

ADCD Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure fire and life safety systems are maintained in compliance with ADCD regulations and standards.
• Assist in preparing and submitting required documentation for ADCD inspections, approvals, and certifications.
• Support and attend ADCD inspections and audits; help resolve noncompliance issues.
• Follow updated ADCD codes, circulars, and guidelines during maintenance and rectification works.

Maintenance & Rectification Works

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities under AMC contracts.
• Execute rectification works for fire alarm, fire fighting, and related safety systems.
• Identify faults, troubleshoot system issues, and support root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors during rectification jobs.

Emergency & Site Support

• Respond to emergency call-outs and breakdowns as required.
• Support coordination with civil defence authorities during emergency situations.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times on site.

Client Coordination

• Communicate with clients regarding maintenance schedules, system status, and rectification progress.
• Provide basic technical explanations and service updates to customers.
• Support service improvement and additional maintenance requirements when identified.

Reporting & Records

• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection records.
• Assist in preparing reports required for audits, AMC reviews, and internal tracking.
• Support spare parts tracking and material usage records.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire & life safety maintenance within the UAE or GCC.
• Working knowledge of ADCD regulations and inspection procedures.
• Experience with fire alarm, fire fighting, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
• CFPS or relevant fire safety certification is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently on site.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly.
