Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the optimal performance of equipment and systems. This role requires proficiency in various technical areas, including programmable logic controllers (PLC), HVAC/R systems, and hydraulic systems. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using precision measuring instruments.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and managing work orders.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on equipment performance and customer needs.
- Maintain schematics for all machinery to ensure accurate documentation of system layouts.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, including HVAC systems and high-voltage electrical components.
- Provide field service support as needed, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating scissor lifts and other equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC), HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems (both high voltage and low voltage).
- Familiarity with welding techniques and practices, including <LOCATION> welding.
- Proficient in using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and schematics effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Military experience is considered an asset but not required.
