Job purpose

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment in our machine shop. The role involves diagnosing issues, planning preventative maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient machine operation.

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of machine shop equipment (e.g., CNC machines, lathes, milling machines and Others).
• Maintain and update maintenance records, checklists, and service logs.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth machine operation.
• Carry out root cause analysis (RCA) for frequent failures or recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Schedule and supervise planned maintenance and overhauls during shutdown periods.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, conventional machines, lathes, milling machines and Others.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
• Understanding of TPM, 5S, and other lean maintenance practices is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
