Maintenance Engineer (Radiator division)

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer– Radiator Transformer Industry

Location: Vadodara

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage all maintenance activities in our radiator manufacturing facility for power transformers. The role requires hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly used in sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all production machinery and utilities.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair of equipment including shearing machines, welding sets (MIG/TIG), hydraulic presses, CNC plasma cutters, painting booths, and pressure testing rigs.
• Ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability of machines.
• Supervise and guide a team of mechanical, electrical, and utility technicians.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Plan and oversee installation and commissioning of new machines and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for machine safety and shop floor practices.
• Liaise with vendors and OEMs for technical support and procurement of critical spares.
• Implement energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives related to utilities (compressors, DG sets, HVAC, etc.).
• Prepare maintenance budgets, CAPEX proposals, and monthly maintenance reports.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in heavy fabrication or transformer radiator manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication shop machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical panels, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and OEE tracking.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP) is an advantage.
