Job Summary

The Junior Maintenance Executive – Vehicle & Field Operations will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, and day-to-day management of company vehicles used in solid waste collection and transportation. The role involves field-based work, coordinating with drivers, ensuring vehicle availability, and supporting preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in routine inspection and maintenance of company vehicles including collection trucks, compactors, tippers, and support vehicles

• Monitor vehicle health and report mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues promptly

• Coordinate with drivers for daily vehicle checks and logbook updates

• Support preventive maintenance schedules to reduce vehicle downtime

• Assist senior maintenance staff during vehicle breakdowns and field repairs

• Coordinate with external workshops, vendors, and service centers as required

• Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel usage, and spare parts

• Ensure vehicles comply with safety, fitness, and regulatory requirements

• Conduct field visits to waste collection routes and sites to address vehicle-related issues

• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards

Qualifications & Experience

• B.tech/BE/ Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or related field (preferred)

• 0–2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance or fleet operations

• Experience in waste management, logistics, transport, or municipal projects is an advantage

• Freshers with relevant technical training may also apply

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of automobile systems (engine, brakes, hydraulics, electricals)

• Ability to identify common vehicle faults and assist in repairs

• Understanding of preventive maintenance for commercial vehicles

• Willingness to work in field conditions and on collection routes

• Basic documentation and reporting skills

• Good coordination and communication skills

• Physically fit and adaptable to shift-based work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
