Maintenance Fabrication Technician

Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician – Fabrication Support to assist with the upkeep, repair, and reliability of equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on maintenance work with welding and fabrication to support repairs and equipment modifications.

This position is ideal for someone with both mechanical aptitude and welding experience who wants to grow within a maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facility systems (filters, lubrication, adjustments, minor repairs)
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance activities
• Diagnose and report basic equipment or facility issues requiring repair
• Perform MIG, TIG, or Stick welding to support maintenance repairs and equipment modifications
• Fabricate brackets, guards, supports, and replacement components as needed
• Cut, grind, fit, and assemble materials for maintenance-related work
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for maintenance tasks
• Maintain tools, welding equipment, and organized work areas
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE, hot work, and lockout/tagout (LOTO)

Required Experience

• 1+ year of experience in maintenance, fabrication, welding, or similar hands-on role
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) for repair or fabrication work
• Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, or measurements
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial maintenance or equipment repair
• Familiarity with mechanical systems (motors, conveyors, basic components)
• Ability to support multiple types of maintenance work (not just welding)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand, bend, and work in active industrial environments
• Exposure to heat, noise, and welding conditions
