Maintenance Head

Job description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Head to lead the maintenance department in our automobile manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in handling Press Shop and CO₂ Weld Shop Machines, ensuring minimum downtime, preventive maintenance planning, and driving continuous improvement in plant reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the maintenance team for all shop floor equipment, with a focus on Press Shop & CO₂ Welding Machines.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure maximum uptime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution.
• Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions for efficiency improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations in maintenance activities.
• Prepare and control maintenance budgets, spares planning, and vendor coordination.
• Develop and implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices across the plant.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown analysis, and improvement reports.
• Train and mentor the maintenance team to enhance technical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through energy saving, spares optimization, and improved maintenance techniques.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Press Shop machinery, CO₂ Welding Machines, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Robotics.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC, automation systems, and industrial safety standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of TPM, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Qualification : B.E Mechanical/ Automobile

Experience : 6 to 8 year

Salary : Up to 6 LPA

Age : Up to 40
