Job Description of Civil/Mechanical Site Engineer

1. Site Supervision & Execution

Oversee day-to-day construction activities at the site.

Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Monitor progress of academic blocks, hostels, administrative buildings, roads, landscaping, and utility works.

2. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors

Conduct regular site meetings to review work progress.

Communicate project updates to management and highlight risks/delays.

3. Quality Control & Safety

Conduct inspections for material quality and workmanship.

Ensure compliance with construction safety standards and protocols.

Report deviations and implement corrective actions.

4. Measurement & Documentation

Maintain daily site logs, work reports, and progress documentation.

Verify contractor measurements and prepare running bills (RA Bills).

Maintain records of materials received and consumed.

5. Planning & Monitoring

Assist in project scheduling and manpower/material planning.

Track project timelines and ensure timely completion of activities.

Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.

6. Vendor & Material Management

Coordinate material procurement with the purchase team.

Check and approve quality of materials delivered on site.

Liaise with vendors for timely supply and issue resolution

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
