Maintenance Inventory Coordinator

Job Purpose

In your role as Maintenance Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution of parts and supplies necessary to support fleet and equipment maintenance. This position plays a key role in ensuring technicians have the materials needed to complete repairs efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate inventory of parts, tools, fluids, tires, and shop supplies
  • Issues parts to technicians and records transactions in maintenance system
  • Orders parts and shop supplies from approved vendors to maintain proper stock levels
  • Receives shipments, verifies packing slips, and inspects for damage
  • Processes returns, cores, and warranty claims
  • Performs routine cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Organizes and maintains a clean and orderly parts room
  • Ensures proper storage and labeling of materials
  • Maintains compliance with company safety policies
  • Supports maintenance team with parts research and vendor communication
  • Assists with general shop organization as needed

Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, or parts experience preferred
  • Experience with fleet or heavy equipment parts preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, and lift throughout shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • May be required to work overtime or occasional weekends as needed
