Starting Rate: Up to $31.00 an hour (based on experience) 8-hour shift.

Work Hours:
Location: 3094 Lester Dr. Kendallville, IN

As our Maintenance Mechanic, Buildings and Grounds 1, you will:

• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, including:
• Motors, gearboxes, bearings, mechanical drives, VFD’s, electrical components, and basic controls
• Learn and assist with facility systems, including: Chiller, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and general building maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
• Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from team members and management.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe maintenance area.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pound
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 12 hours shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus.
• Some experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.
• Positive attitude and strong cultural fit with a team-oriented environment.
