Make-Ready Technician (Part-Time)

Position Overview
The Mansions at Canyon Creek is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Make-Ready Technician to support the preparation of apartment homes for new residents. This role is responsible for ensuring vacant units are turned efficiently and meet company quality standards and scheduled move-in deadlines.

This is a part-time, in-person position with the opportunity to advance into a full-time Maintenance Technician role based on performance, technical proficiency, and productivity.
The Make-Ready Technician reports directly to the Property Manager and works collaboratively with the on-site maintenance team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Complete all make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents
· Perform drywall repair including patching, sanding, and finishing
· Complete interior touch-up painting and wall repairs (full-unit repaints not required)
· Perform basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, garbage disposals)
· Conduct minor electrical repairs (switches, outlets, light fixtures)
· Inspect, test, and complete minor appliance repairs
· Replace locks and ensure all units are properly secured
· Change HVAC filters and assist with basic troubleshooting
· Conduct final quality inspections prior to resident move-in
· Maintain organized inventory of supplies and notify management of material needs
· Assist maintenance staff with service requests and property improvement projects as needed
· Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (Required)
· Valid Driver’s License (Required)
· General knowledge of drywall repair, touch-up painting, plumbing, and minor electrical work
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet turn deadlines
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors
Preferred Qualifications
· HVAC Certification (Preferred)

· Part-time hours; schedule to be determined
· Flexibility may be required to meet scheduled move-in deadlines
