Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance activities within the factory. This role ensures the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of all machinery and equipment to support the production process and achieve organizational goals. The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance technicians, develop and implement maintenance procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment used in the factory.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify potential issues and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting for repair costs, spare parts, and equipment upgrades.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure maintenance activities are cost-effective.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety audits and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and efficient use.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for equipment repairs and parts procurement.
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Utilize best practices and industry trends to enhance maintenance procedures and increase efficiency.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, troubleshoot problems, and coordinate repair efforts to minimize production delays.
Skills required:
- Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and maintenance procedures, specific to the furniture manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/ Facilities Management or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in maintenance management are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts.
- Willingness to work in various conditions, including those involving noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Additional Information: This position may require occasional overtime and on-call availability to address urgent maintenance needs.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
