A Manager- Maintenance is responsible for the overall maintenance and reliability of machinery, equipment, and systems within an organization. They lead maintenance strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and oversee maintenance teams, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities: Manager-Maintenance
Maintenance Strategy Development:
Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance strategies.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Diagnose complex equipment failures, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and guide maintenance technicians, providing technical expertise and support.
Budget Management:
Manage and control maintenance costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective solutions.
Performance Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and equipment performance, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Project Management:
Oversee maintenance projects, including capital improvements, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Data Analysis:
Analyse data from various sources to identify trends, predict failures, and improve maintenance effectiveness.
Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and project progress, Audit.
Key Skills:
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other relevant systems. Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
Leadership and Supervision:
Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians.
