Job Title: Maintenance Manager – Cell Line

Role Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will lead and manage the maintenance strategy, team, spares, and reliability improvement initiatives for the Solar Cell Manufacturing line. The role ensures maximum equipment availability, minimal downtime, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices through TPM, predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers and technicians for cell line operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategy including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM).
  • Ensure effective execution of maintenance plans to minimize breakdowns and production losses.
  • Manage vendors, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and service agreements.
  • Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and manage maintenance budget effectively.
  • Analyze equipment failures using RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and implement corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits related to maintenance and statutory compliance.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Process teams for equipment performance improvements.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment when required.
  • Monitor equipment KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
  • Ensure safety compliance and adherence to EHS standards in maintenance activities.

Equipment Exposure:

End-to-end Solar Cell Manufacturing Line including but not limited to:

  • Diffusion Furnace
  • PECVD / LPCVD
  • Screen Printing Line
  • Dryers and Firing Furnace
  • Laser Processing Tools
  • Wet Chemical Stations (Texturing, Etching, Cleaning, etc.)
  • Vacuum Systems & Gas Delivery Systems
  • Utilities: Chillers, Compressors, HVAC, Boilers, Cooling Towers, UPS, Electrical Distribution Systems

Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Expertise in project execution and equipment reliability improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Proficiency in Maintenance Budget management and cost-saving project planning.
  • Experience in writing, reviewing, and updating SOPs and maintenance procedures.
  • Deep understanding of PLC, Servo Drives, HMI, and Robot Integration.
  • Experience in calibration of MFC (Mass Flow Controllers) and RF Generators.
  • Knowledge of Helium Leak Detection for vacuum chambers and leak testing procedures.
  • Understanding of SCADA/DCS systems and data logging.
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance tools like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ability to analyze equipment data and implement data-driven maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, safety protocols, and statutory requirements.

Experience:

2 to 7 Years in Maintenance (Preferably in Solar Cell Manufacturing / Photovoltaic Industry)

Qualification:

B.E / B.Tech – Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
