Maintenance Manager-Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM)

Focus on ensuring the maximum availability, safety, and operational efficiency of large-scale mining and construction equipment. These roles involve repairing, diagnosing, and servicing machinery such as dumpers, excavators, loaders, dozers, and cranes.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Preventive and Routine Maintenance: Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and routine checks (lubrication, fluid levels, filter changes, tire/track inspections) to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Utilizing computerized diagnostic tools and, for seniors, on-board telemetry systems to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
  • Breakdown Repair and Overhaul: Performing emergency and scheduled repairs on heavy equipment, including disassembling, repairing, or replacing worn parts (pistons, gears, bearings, cylinders) to restore operational capability.
  • System Specific Maintenance: Specialized maintenance of heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic systems, power trains, steering/suspensions, and electrical circuits (12/24-volt systems).
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering strictly to safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tagout) and regulatory guidelines (such as DGMS in mining) to prevent accidents.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining detailed service logs, maintenance records, and preparing work orders, often using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) or SAP.
  • Resource Management: Assisting with spare parts inventory management, identifying necessary consumables, and ensuring proper handling of specialized tools.

Key Skills Required:

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines and hydraulics.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills to quickly resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in challenging, often outdoor or underground, conditions.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma/ B. Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
