Maintenance Manager / Asst Manager (Foundary/ Auto Ancillary industry)
Experience - Min 9 + yrs
Qualification - BE/Diploma Mechanical
Roles and Responsibilities :-
1. Overall Maintenance Oversight: Responsible for the overall maintenance of machinery and equipment in the CI and DI foundry, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring proper training.
3. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure regular inspection, servicing, and upkeep of machinery to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment life.
4. Emergency Repairs: Coordinate and oversee emergency repairs when machinery breaks down to minimize downtime and production losses.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain adequate spare parts inventory to support maintenance activities, ensuring timely procurement and replenishment.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing costs while ensuring effective maintenance operations.
7. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in maintenance operations, conducting regular safety inspections and implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in maintenance operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1. Equipment Uptime: Measure the percentage of time that machinery and equipment are operational without unplanned downtime.
2. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): Calculate the average time between equipment failures, indicating the reliability of machinery.
3. Maintenance Costs: Track maintenance expenses against budgeted costs to assess cost-effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
4. Inventory Turnover: Monitor the turnover rate of spare parts inventory to ensure optimal levels without excessive stock or shortages.
5. Safety Performance: Measure safety incidents and near misses to assess the effectiveness of safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.
6. Maintenance Response Time: Evaluate the time taken to respond to maintenance requests or equipment breakdowns, aiming for prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
7. Energy Efficiency: Assess energy consumption of machinery and equipment, implementing measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Employee Training and Development: Monitor the training and skill development of maintenance staff to ensure competence and readiness to handle equipment maintenance effectively.
By focusing on these aspects of maintenance management and tracking relevant KPIs, the Maintenance Manager can ensure the smooth functioning of the CI and DI foundry, optimizing productivity and minimizing disruptions.
