Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm


Summary/ Objective:
Safely maintain, troubleshoot, install and repair manufacturing plant equipment and building repairs. Carry out written and verbal instructions and interface well with all level of employees. Assist other maintenance personnel installation and maintenance of a large variety of equipment and utilities in the facility.

Essential Functions:
  • Implement, conduct and document routine and preventive maintenance schedule and procedures on machinery and equipment
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Manage new and existing electric or electronic components, instruments and/or equipment
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to determine priority, scope, timelines and budget of projects. Develop a project list and follow through with implementation
  • Perform general maintenance and welding projects
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment
  • Read schematics, blueprints and technical drawings and specifications
  • Safely drive forklift and high lift equipment
  • Responsible for conformance to company quality standards and for the completion of work within acceptable time standards
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Ensure all safety devices are in place and functional and in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible to ensure Lock Out/Tag Out is utilized and assist with providing annual training
  • Place orders for approved parts and supplies

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and will require hearing protection and safety glasses were required.

Physical Demands
  • This position is very active and requires standing, stretching, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, pushing and pulling
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs at a time
  • Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed machinery
  • Manual dexterity to assembly, disassemble, adjust and relocate machines

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience of maintenance and repair experience with mechanical equipment and machinery or a combination of years in higher education and experience
  • Experience with blue print, shop drawings, schematics and technical sketches


Preferred:

  • Experience with automated assembly and plastic injection molding equipment
  • Experience with PLC
  • Possession of current LME or equivalent preferred and possession of or ability to obtain other trade licenses/certificates
