Nehemiah Manufacturing is seeking two Maintenance Mechanics; One for first Shift and One for Second Shift. They will be responsible for the maintenance of various packaging equipment.

  • Determine optimum equipment settings to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Strive to minimize operational downtime and quality defects through preventative programs, critical problem solving and proper equipment settings.
  • Maintain a safe well-organized workplace.
  • Must possess strong organization skills and attention to details.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Senior Maintenance Mechanic include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

· Responsible for maintenance programs for high speed packaging operation.

· Troubleshooting Packaging equipment such as cappers, fillers, labelers, code dating equipment, Flo wrapper, box formers and box tapers, pumps and compressors.

· Minimizes downtime due to various equipment failures.

· Scrutinizes operation for safety and cost improvements.

· Defines and completes all preventative maintenance schedules.

· Ability to machine from verbal instructions and sketches.

· Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

· Able to follow directions.

· Work well with others in a professional manner.

· Keep work area safe and clean.

PROBLEM SOLVING

· Must be excellent at identifying and solving mechanical and electrical problems.

· Quick to identify and eliminate root causes.

· Exceptional at diagnosis of mechanical and electrical failures.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees and vendors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
