Maintenance Mechanic

We currently are hiring for a Food Production Maintenance Mechanic.

Monday -Saturday with Sunday off and 1 day during week 9am-530pm

Responsibilities:

• Trouble shoot and correct equipment issues as they occur
• Set up and change over equipment to achieve maximum efficiency during production
• Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as needed or identified
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues as they begin to develop
• Converse with equipment operators to identify current or potential equipment maintenance requirements
• Complete assigned responsibilities through a work order maintenance program.
• Support production, quality, warehouse, sanitation, and administrative staff with projects
• Record, document, and complete all supporting maintenance documents per requirements
• Maintain all maintenance documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements
• Install, set up and support capital projects as necessary.
• Recommend and implement plant efficiency projects as identified.
• Adhere to all maintenance programs with regards to safety.
• Work with vendors and contractors as necessary to perform installation and maintenance work.
• Daily PM’s using MPulse software

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a food manufacturing environment,
• Strong background and in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, welding, plumbing and general building repair.
• Knowledge of sanitary design for processing and packaging for the food industry.
• Knowledge and ability to comply with GMP, HACCP, and Safety programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mentality
• Knowledge & repair of Urschel equipment like G Machine, Translicer 2500, Diversicut.

Salary: $25-$31/hr. depending on experience
