Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Edsal seeks a dynamic individual to join our team as the Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery to support efficient operations/production
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment and systems on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly cadence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations
  • Perform general maintenance tasks

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or combination of education and experience
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience performing similar duties
Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with Pneumatics, motor & conveyor systems repair
  • Experience with Forklift Management
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout
  • Ability to work varying shifts
  • Working knowledge of basic tools and proper use of tools
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of welding and fabricating a plus
  • Experience with Box Makers and stretch wrap equipment experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally climb or reach overhead
Employees must have adequate vision (close, distance, peripheral) and hearing ability to safely operate equipment and work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Maintain attention to detail
  • Work safely in a fast-paced production environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment where:
  • Temperatures may fluctuate based on season and production activity
  • Noise levels may be moderate to high
  • Machinery, moving mechanical parts, and powered industrial equipment may be present

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may include:
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Steel-toe footwear
  • Protective gloves
  • Other job-specific PPE as assigned
