Looking for multi-craft Maintenance Technician
We're a family-owned business that specializes in the manufacturing of tortillas. We are rapidly growing and looking to bring on more team members to join our Charlotte, NC facility.
Shift Available:
10:00PM- 7:00AM (3rd Shift-Sunday through thursday)
Summary:
We are looking for someone who will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform PMs, repairs and scheduled shut-down projects. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of our company.
Basic Job Functions:
- Company supplied tools, and uniforms.
- Performs equipment preventative maintenance services using appropriate checklists; inspects, analyzes, and diagnoses all machine and assembly component problems and defects, using diagnostic equipment as required.
- Performs all needed adjustments, repairs, replacements, and installs machine and assembly components; ensures that all guards removed are properly replaced.
- Accounts for all labor, parts, and operational supplied in an accurate and timely fashion; initiates and completes all necessary documentation to comply with Federal, State, local, and 3rd party regulatory requirements.
- Responds to breakdowns in a prompt and appropriate manner to minimize downtime, overtime, cost, and interruption of sales/customer service.
- Wears personal protective equipment as required and provided by the company; wears appropriate uniform in accordance with GMP’s and company standards.
- Ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment; ensures hand tools are free of defects; maintains neat and orderly work areas, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint, and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and SQF.
- Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and other work rules; includes compliance with all regulatory mandates, such as lockout/tag out, electrical safety, and confined spaces.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.

- Knowledge of 3 phase electricity
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls
- Knowledge of pumps, blowers, bearings, hydraulics
- Extensive hands-on experience in maintenance and project installations. Demonstrated understanding of preventative maintenance and experience in Plant Maintenance.
- Tools & Equipment – Must be able to demonstrate at least a basic understanding of Scales, Hand Tools, Copier, PC, etc.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be advanced in MS Office, especially with Excel and Outlook.
- Work Environment – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to working near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
