Maintenance Mechanic Helper

Essential Duties:

• Observes all safety requirements including wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Assist mechanics with repairs on sawmill equipment and other production equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Deliver and stage parts and tools to job sites throughout the mill.
• Follow LOTO and all other mill safety protocols during maintenance activities.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools and PPE
• Willingness/ability to learn on the job under supervision.
• Lumber experience a plus!
