Job Description
Position: Senior Associate – Electrical
Industry: Plastics Recycling / Waste Management
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Manager
Job Purpose
To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems and equipment used in plastics recycling processes, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Operations
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems related to:
- Shredders, granulators, washing lines
- Extruders, pelletizers, dryers
- Conveyors, motors, gear motors
- Compressors, chillers, utilities
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, starters, panels, and field instruments.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to production operations.
Control Panels & Automation
- Maintain and troubleshoot:
- MCC, PCC, APFC panels
- VFDs, soft starters, PLC panels (basic level)
- Monitor load, current, voltage, and power factor.
- Coordinate with automation engineers for PLC and HMI-related issues.
Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per maintenance plan.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records, test reports, and logbooks.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) for repeated electrical failures.
- Assist in energy monitoring and conservation initiatives.
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of:
- Electrical panels and cabling
- Motors, drives, and control systems
- New machinery and plant expansions
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety norms.
Safety, Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO, and PPE requirements.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Electrical safety standards
- Factory Act and statutory inspections
- ISO, EHS, ESG, and SMETA requirements
- Support audits and inspections by authorities and customers.
Spare Parts & Inventory Control
- Identify critical electrical spares (motors, VFDs, contactors, sensors).
- Monitor spare usage and raise purchase requisitions.
- Ensure availability of essential spares to reduce downtime.
Team Coordination
- Guide and support junior electricians and technicians.
- Coordinate with mechanical, production, and utility teams.
- Support shift operations and emergency breakdowns.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (preferred)
Experience
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in:
- Plastics recycling, extrusion, polymer processing, or manufacturing industries
- Experience with heavy industrial motors and drives preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of industrial motors, drives, and panels
- Basic PLC & VFD understanding
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of energy management and power factor improvement
- Basic computer skills (Excel, maintenance records)

Job Purpose
To ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical equipment used in plastics recycling processes such as shredding, washing, extrusion, pelletizing, and material handling, while minimizing downtime and ensuring safety compliance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Plant & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of recycling machinery such as:
- Shredders, granulators, crushers
- Washing lines, dryers, centrifuges
- Extruders, pelletizers, agglomerators
- Conveyors, silos, pumps, gearboxes, compressors
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Ensure optimal machine performance and minimal production loss.
Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per plan.
- Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and checklists.
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment life.
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machines and utilities.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during erection and modification works.
- Ensure machines meet safety and operational standards.
Spare Parts & Inventory Control
- Identify critical spares and support inventory planning.
- Monitor spare consumption and raise indents as required.
- Ensure availability of essential mechanical spares to avoid downtime.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
- Support compliance with ISO, EHS, ESG, and statutory norms.
- Ensure housekeeping and safe working conditions in mechanical areas.
Team Coordination
- Guide junior technicians and helpers.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, and utility teams.
- Support shift activities and emergency maintenance requirements.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Experience
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in:
- Plastics recycling, polymer processing, extrusion, or manufacturing industries
- Hands-on experience with heavy rotating machinery preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, maintenance logs)
- Team player with good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹29,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
