Job Summary:
The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school’s infrastructure, ensuring all facilities and equipment are functional, safe, and well-maintained. The role demands hands-on technical skills, prompt response to facility-related issues, and coordination with other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
- Carry out basic repair work including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.
- Assist with maintenance of HVAC, lighting, water systems, and other utilities.
- Monitor and report any major faults or issues to the Maintenance Manager promptly.
- Support in setup and breakdown of equipment or furniture for school events and activities.
- Maintain logs of daily maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations in all maintenance tasks.
- Liaise with external technicians or contractors when necessary and supervise their work under guidance.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests raised by staff or administration.
- Support preventive maintenance plans as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ITI certificate or diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, or Civil trades preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in general maintenance, preferably in a school, hospital, hotel, or institutional environment.
- Basic knowledge of tools, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ability to handle minor repairs independently.
- Working knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures is an advantage.
- Physically fit and willing to work on-call during urgent situations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
