Maintenance Officer Saleyards - Casual

About The Opportunity

As a Saleyard Maintenance Officer, you will carry out routine inspections, maintenance and cleaning of saleyards, structures and buildings. To perform this role, you need to be physically capable of performing manual tasks and comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Key responsibilities are:

• Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and operational tasks across the saleyard, buildings and surrounds.
• Support livestock sales by assisting with compliance (NLIS/NVD), set-up, sale-day operations and post-sale activities.
• Undertake minor repairs and safely operate tools, equipment and plant (including skid-steer loader where required).
• Contribute to a safe and positive workplace by following OHS requirements, working collaboratively with stakeholders, and providing good customer service.

This is a casual position which includes non-standard hours and occasional weekends. The successful applicant will need to complete a satisfactory police check and pre-employment medical check. You must also be legally allowed to work in Australia.
