Position Summary: Responsible for providing electrical services, per NEC/Local/State/Federal standards, with specific responsibility for identifying, repairing, installing, replacing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment. This employee will assist with training of other employees as needed.

Position Duties: - Understand Facility/Plant Power Distribution – Incoming power feeds, transformers, switch gear, panel boards, etc.
  • Understands current and ongoing National Electrical Codes.
  • Install/Work on Switchgear, Panel boards & Transformers, Bus Rail, Buss Plugs.
  • Install wiring, disconnects, switches, breakers, surge suppressers.
  • Must have experience installing and bending EMT & Rigid conduit.
  • Read/Draw Electrical prints.
  • Maintain/update all Building Electrical prints.
  • Help maintain/update all electrical panel cards in panels and computer.
  • Actively seeks ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings.
  • Work on complex equipment with little to no supervision
  • Ability to perform advanced electrical troubleshooting.
  • Arc Flash/Shock awareness and all NFPA 70 E requirements, as well as compliance with all other applicable federal, state or local safety/electrical requirements.
  • Understand 480/277V, 208/120V. Wild Leg, WYE & Delta 3 phase systems
  • Understands DC circuits.
  • Comprehension of electrical measurement devices; digital multimeter, analog meter, amp clamp, megger, electrical circuit tracer, IR camera, calibration meter, etc.
  • Operates various equipment such as; scissor lifts, boom lifts, fork truck, single person lift
  • Makes repairs to all equipment, utilities, infrastructure, buildings and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Monitors the electrical work of outside contractors for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are satisfactorily completed and within specifications.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner utilizing any and all PPE.
  • Possible lead/assist others on electrical projects
Requirements: High school or GED equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience performing Industrial Electrical work. Electrical licensing through an accredited institution. Employee must continue to keep a license or certification throughout employment in this position.
