Maintenance Operative (Plumbing)

About The Role:
This role will deliver a range of plumbing and general maintenance tasks within the Quadram institute, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained environment for colleagues, patients, and visitors. Duties include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
- Supporting day‑to‑day building maintenance in a hospital/commercial setting.
- Completion of time records and compliance documentation
- Working in line with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Providing a high standard of customer service to clinical and non‑clinical teams.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with experience using a variety of hand tools
- Good Fault / Problem-solving skills
- Able to be part of a 4-week on call out rota
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing.
- Experience in commercial maintenance, ideally within healthcare.
- Ability to carry out a wide range of day‑to‑day maintenance tasks.
- A flexible, customer‑focused approach
- A full UK driving licence
- Desirable: additional skills in carpentry or electrical work.
