Maintenance Operator (General Mechanical-Electrical)

Education: Technician in Electricity, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or related field.

Job Profile:

The General Mechanical-Electrical Assistant is responsible for providing operational support in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for facilities, electromechanical equipment, and electrical systems within the plant. This position requires basic knowledge of industrial electricity, mechanics, instrumentation, and control systems, as well as skills in handling hand tools and measurement equipment. A proactive attitude, organization, responsibility, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety are essential.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 3 years in industrial maintenance (preferred).

Technical Knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge of mechanics, lubrication, and failure analysis.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of fabrication and welding of stainless steel and carbon steel materials.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of plumbing.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of industrial and residential electricity.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and measuring equipment
• Knowledge of workshop tools and measuring instruments.

Skills:

Desirable:

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing preventive maintenance routines on machinery and electrical systems.
• Support minor mechanical repairs (belt replacements, motor cleaning, adjustments, etc.).
• Inspect electrical connections, sensors, motors, panels, and lighting.
• Conduct regular inspections and report unsafe conditions or potential failures.
• Record maintenance activities and results using established formats.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures and correct use of PPE.

Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper care of work areas and tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
