Roles & Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Quality Control Inspector:
- Works under the management of and reports directly to the Maintenance Director in the Directorate of Aircraft Maintenance at the Base.
- Must be able to read, understand, and implement general and specific operational safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies related to this position.
- Comprehends and conforms to OEM quality policies and executes job activities in compliance with applicable Quality system documents and contracts.
- Performs evaluation, validation of processes, and training of distribution center workforce in process improvement techniques.
- Conducts receiving inspections, physical inventories, local surveys as required, and validates processes through statistical sampling and other measurement techniques.
- Reviews inventory, packaging, and shipping processes to ensure continuous process improvement.
- Reads specifications, drawings, prints, technical publications, schematics, and interprets photographs of aircraft and related materials.
- Investigates shipping incidents and prepares Supply Deficiency Reports (SDR) or Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) as appropriate.
- Obtains and holds a ground support equipment license for operating lifters, warehouse tractors, etc.
- Provides supervision and coordination for manpower and equipment involved in aircraft maintenance, supply, and related support activities.
- Ensures sustainability and necessary support through supervising delivery of maintenance, supply, and training services in line with project coordination.
- Provides technical solutions in aircraft maintenance, supply, training, and supervises on-the-job training for end users.
- Monitors and controls the implementation of work activities, determines performance levels, and assesses technical capabilities.
- Coordinates with relevant parties regarding technical and training purposes according to plans.
- Executes, supervises, and coordinates technical, training, logistics, and supply activities for technicians at each location.
- Communicates formally and informally regarding technical and training matters, data evaluation, and updates to manuals and systems.
- Controls and follows up on the implementation of technical, training, logistics, and supply activities, and measures continuous performance.
- Tracks and ensures achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to aircraft maintenance, supply, and training systems.
- Oversees day-to-day technical and training supervision and coordination activities.
- Supervises activities on assigned projects to ensure delivery, performance monitoring, and timely issue resolution.
- Applies scheduling techniques to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Liaises with all relevant functions to facilitate project success and build an integrated project environment.
- Maintains supervision and liaison with activities supporting technical and training requirements.
- Maintains technical and training records and statistical data for reporting and analysis.
- Periodically reviews technical activities, evaluation reports, and performance records of equipment and personnel.
- Evaluates performance of technical and training personnel, providing on-the-job training as needed.
- Identifies technical and training needs, and develops and supervises relevant programs.
- Requisitions and controls testing and instructional materials used for training and evaluation.
- Ensures availability of technical training tasks and other training needs at the location.
- Acts as a coordinator for project elements to meet requirements.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills effectively with management levels.
- Develops understanding of project objectives and confidently interacts with officers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Sets objectives, executes quality and training plans, and incorporates technology into training sessions.
- Motivates trainees from diverse backgrounds and trains personnel on-the-job when required.
- Performs any additional tasks assigned by higher management related to technical or training work.
