Maintenance Reliability Engineer

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the plant’s mechanical maintenance program to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment.

This role focuses on driving equipment reliability through proactive maintenance strategies, technological advancements, improved inspection methods, and team development.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides technical leadership and oversight for the plant’s mechanical maintenance program, ensuring reliability and performance objectives are met.

Identifies and implements opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and uptime through engineering analysis, root cause investigation, and application of best practices.

Coordinates and prioritizes daily maintenance work orders in partnership with on-site maintenance contractor supervision to align with plant needs and production schedules.

Manages the preventive maintenance (PM) program for all mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and schedules.

Plans, coordinates, and executes major equipment overhauls, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Oversees the mechanical spare parts program to maintain adequate inventory levels and minimize downtime.

Collaborates with other site contractors, vendors, and engineering disciplines to support maintenance and reliability initiatives.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Minimum of three years of experience in preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and replacement programs for major mechanical systems.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment reliability principles, and maintenance best practices.
Knowledge of ASME codes for vessels and piping.
Proficiency with SAP CMMS and Microsoft Excel; experience with MS Project and AutoCAD preferred.
Skilled in data analysis, trending, and presentation using spreadsheets and database tools.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
