Maintenance & Security Personnel

Expected hours of work: 20 hours per week
$18-$20 per hour/Part-time position
4:30 PM – 9:30 PM (Monday-Thursday) – NIGHT SHIFT

The position of custodian, maintenance, facility worker, security, and traffic is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and security of the facilities to include the Church, Parish office, Religious Education and Rectories, on weeknights (4:30 PM – 9:30 PM) and Fish Fry Season (Lent).

The maintenance personnel will work in conjunction with parish staff and professional tradespeople to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and always kept in safe and orderly conditions.

Requirements

• An overall general knowledge and respect for the Catholic Church, as well as the need to respect the confidentiality of the Catholic Church, as this is required by all employees of the parish
• Personnel should possess an overall knowledge of cleaning and sanitary conditions when dealing with public venues such as schools and churches.
• General knowledge of building maintenance.
• General, overall, basic handyman skills are a requirement.
• Have a skill set that would allow for problem-solving and administering repairs as needed
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
• Organization and long-range planning.
• Sound verbal and written communication.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
