We're seeking dynamic Maintenance Specialist Supervisor to join our team and make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care facilities. The Maintenance Specialist Supervisor oversees departmental workflow and staff assignments, ensuring team members are properly trained and meet performance standards. This role provides routine and emergency maintenance for pharmacy equipment—including medication carts, treatment carts, and fax machines—and supports deliveries, pickups, and general errands. The Supervisor also ensures the pharmacy and facility equipment are maintained and repaired as needed, contributing to a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Salary range: $55,000 - $60,000

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (weekends if needed)

Travel Expectations: 50%

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision & Scheduling

  • Support weekly/monthly department scheduling and staff assignments.
  • Assist with PTO, attendance, and time-off tracking.
  • Participate in staff coaching, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Communicate performance concerns and development needs to management.
  • Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication and workflow coordination.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance

  • Maintain and repair pharmacy equipment, carts, and locks.
  • Perform on-site emergency repairs at customer facilities.
  • Manage routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure proper storage and security of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and building areas.

Logistics & Support

  • Assist with deliveries, pickups, and inventory stocking.
  • Handle controlled substance deliveries per protocol.
  • Support IT asset relocation and heavy equipment movement.

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards (CMS, DEA, OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Complete required compliance training and report concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain certifications for specialized equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).

Collaboration & Customer Service

  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and maintenance requests.
  • Foster a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Must adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Prior experience in maintenance or repair of medical carts/equipment, furniture, cabinetry, or similar hardware (locks, casters, drawers) preferred
  • Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. and stand or drive for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the pharmacy operating area (may include overnight stays)
  • Ability to maintain required certifications for specialized equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack)
