Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, electrical experience, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct mechanical repairs including welding, plumbing, HVAC servicing, and general facilities maintenance to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems in manufacturing or facility operations.
• Oversee residential painting projects and perform basic carpentry or handyman tasks as needed to maintain the facility’s appearance and functionality.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and service history.
• Supervise or assist in supervising junior maintenance staff or contractors, fostering teamwork and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately execute repairs or modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance activities while promoting a culture of safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential settings.
• Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to work with schematics, troubleshoot electrical issues, and use testing tools like ohmmeters.
• Mechanical aptitude with skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or general repair work.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance records.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team.
• Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals accurately.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, mechanical repairs, and facilities management.
