Reporting to the Manufacturing Section Manager, The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all production equipment, machinery, and systems are maintained at optimal performance levels. This role provides leadership to the maintenance team, coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance activities, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment.

Supervision

· Supervise, lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, training and performance feedback.

· Coordinate staffing needs for the shift in the instance of absences, tardiness, scheduled vacations, shift exchanges, etc.

· Oversee preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with established procedures and minimizing unplanned downtime.

· Manage maintenance work orders, track progress, and ensure timely completion with proper documentation.

· Work with production supervisors to meet required preventive maintenance schedules.

· Monitor training requirements and certifications to ensure employees receive appropriate training to perform assigned tasks.

· Conduct performance reviews for maintenance technicians.

General Maintenance

· Perform maintenance repairs and modifications on production equipment as needed.

· Perform scheduled preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment in a timely manner

· Assist with equipment changeovers as needed to support production and quality standards

· Assist with special projects such as equipment moves, work cell set up and equipment installation.

· Responsible to calculate required amount and type of materials and services required for repairs, PM’s and projects.

· Perform facility maintenance which could include electrical, plumbing, replacement of lighting fixtures.

Quality

· Follow quality procedures and work instructions relative to maintenance

· Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

· Suggest and implement continuous improvements in support of company goals and machine optimization

· Authority to stop production if necessary to correct a quality issue

· Work with operators to ensure equipment is functioning at maximum efficiency

· Supports and maintains 5S efforts

Administrative

· Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance activities to ensure production equipment and systems are serviced effectively and efficiently.

· Maintain spare parts inventory, tools, and supplies to support maintenance operations.

· Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to prioritize repairs and support manufacturing goals.

· Monitor key maintenance performance metrics and implement action plans for improvement.

· Facilitate meetings with subordinates, peers and executive leadership.

· Contact and work with outside vendors and contractors

· Additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by management.

Education and Required Experience

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.

· 5 years or more of proven hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

· Proven leadership experience managing a team of 5 or more, fostering collaboration and accountability.

· Strong knowledge of Robotics, PLC, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

· Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

· Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings.

· Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Computer skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)

· Proven machine installation and testing skills.

· Some machining and welding skills preferred.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

· Position requires ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop.

· Position requires the ability to climb and descend a ladder unassisted.

· Position requires the ability to work on building roof at times.

· Must be flexible and be on-call as needed for emergencies or other sporadic needs.

· Adherence of wearing PPE as required

· Ensure the practice of LO/TO at all times

· Support 5S and Safety Audit teams

Projected Total Compensation: $85,000.00 per year
