Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor I to oversee maintenance operations during the third shift in a manufacturing environment. This leadership role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, facilities management, and team supervision. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities on the third shift, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
- Manage maintenance schedules using CMMS systems to track work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage equipment, utilizing schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Oversee mechanical maintenance tasks involving HVAC systems, industrial machinery, and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols related to electrical work (including high voltage) and mechanical operations.
- Coordinate with project management teams for equipment upgrades or installations involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and safety records.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency during the third shift.
Skills
- Proven management and supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical wiring, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and general facilities management.
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Project management skills for planning upgrades or repairs while minimizing production impact.
- Excellent communication skills in English for team coordination and reporting purposes.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards related to electrical work (including high voltage) and mechanical maintenance.
